We continue our literary theme right now by honoring National Poetry Month.

Tony Hoagland is a celebrated poet who teaches at the University of Houston and is known for injecting humor into his work.

Here’s Hoagland reading his poem, “Hostess,” courtesy of the Poetry Foundation.

Hoagland and his friend Dean Young – dubbed two of poetry’s “sharpest wits” – will read from their work this evening at the Chicago Public Library at 6:00 p.m.
