This weekend people will travel to Chicago from all over the world to buy, swap, ogle, discuss, and geek out over all things Cub for the 23rd annual Cubs Convention.
But why would people seemingly waste time, and money, and tears on a team that’s brought them nothing but heartache for the past 99 seasons?
Normal, Illinois native Dan Gordon has just finished editing a book of articles by neuroscientists and science writers. The idea is to go into the minds of fans and players.
Gordon’s book is called Your Brain On Cubs. He says a Cubs game engages many parts of the brain.
